How To Make Bhang

Cannabis has gained immense popularity due to its diverse therapeutic and medicinal uses. Ancient traditions also recognized the herb’s spiritual, healing, and medicinal properties.

In rural areas of India, a preparation called Bhang was believed to be effective in treating conditions like fever, dysentery, sunstroke, and speech impediments. It was also used in Ayurvedic and Tibbi rituals to alleviate ailments such as malaria and rheumatism. Soldiers consumed bhang to calm their nerves, and by newly married couples to enhance their libido.

Marijuana holds a significant role in Indian culture, particularly in Hinduism, with profound spiritual and religious associations. It is believed that the Hindu deity of transformation, Shiva, used marijuana (Bhang) to achieve inner focus and tap into his divine powers. In the sacred Hindu text Atharvaveda, marijuana is considered one of Earth’s five most revered herbs. In certain Vedic ceremonies, marijuana stalks were burned in ceremonial fires to ward off enemies and negative energies, as the Vedas describe marijuana as a source of joy, profound pleasure, and salvation.
