How to Make Rick Simpson Oil

December 16, 2017

Rick Simpson Oil also known as RSO is originally invented by an engineer named Rick Simpson. He made this Rick Simpson Oil to help those people who are suffering from different kinds of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, chronic pain, infections, melanoma, and leukemia.

Rick Simpson is a cancer patient before. He is about to give up and even decided to end up his life due to the severe pain that he was encountering back then when he hasn’t discovered yet the power of cannabis as a medication to his skin cancer and the symptoms of his brain injury.

But right after he smoked a marijuana, he immediately feels like everything about his health was relieved and his overall health was even improved! So right after that changes, he decided to create a cannabinoid concentrated oil and name it as Rick Simpson Oil.

And since some doctors are not yet entertaining the abilities of marijuana as a good medication to different kinds of diseases, Rick Simpson shared his recipe on how to make the RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) so that every patient will get a chance to experience the medical wonders of RSO.

That being said, if you are one of those people who are already tired of dealing with their current sickness, here are the steps to follow to make your own Rick Simpson Oil at home.

Step 1: Prepare all the following things and ingredients to make your Rick Simpson Oil.

– Rice cooker

– Stainless steel measuring cup

– Oven

– Wooden spoon

– Bowl

– Bottle with lid for storage

– Cheesecloth

– 5-gallon bucket

– 60 ml Plastic catheter tip syringe

– 2 gallons of 99% isopropyl alcohol or any solvent such as ethanol or butane

– 1 pound of dried Indica strain

Step 2: Get your 5-gallon bucket and put your dried Indica strain while adding your chosen solvent slowly. Make sure that your entire cannabis material will be covered with your solvent.

Step 3: Grab your wooden spoon so you can crush the cannabis material while stirring the mixture for about 3 minutes. By doing this way, you can expect that 80% of the THC will be dissolved.

Step 4: After 3 minutes, you need to drain your mixture using a cheesecloth and a deep bowl. If you think that it was already drained well, you need to get the cannabis material from the cheesecloth back to the 5 gallon bucket.

Step 5: Repeat steps 2 and 3 after putting back the cannabis material then wait for 3 minutes again while continuously stirring the mixture.

Step 6: Drain the mixture again using your cheesecloth and bowl. Then after draining it, ignore the cannabis material that you have used then transfer the solution to a rice cooker.

Step 7: Boil the 3/4 of the solution into the rice cooker with a temperature of 230 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure that the temperature will not go over 300 degrees Fahrenheit because your RSO will become useless if you will continue to vaporize or cook off the cannabinoids.

Note: Since the solvent that you are making is combustible, you have to ensure that you will use a fan or do it in a well-ventilated area without anything flammable to avoid fire issues.

Step 8: After boiling the 3/4 of your cannabis alcohol, you need to add the rest of the solvent into the rice cooker until it evaporates.

Step 9: If the solvent has already decreased, you need to add at least 10 to 12 drops of water into the solution to avoid burning the oil. After doing such, you need to put your leftover extract into a stainless measuring cup since you will place it in the oven with a temperature of 265 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour.

Step 10: After an hour, get your plastic catheter syringe to get the oil. Store it after cooling the oil inside a dark bottle with a very tight lid if you want to store it for a longer period of time.

Note: Place your syringe into a hot water if your oil is too thick prior to using it.

Voila! Your Rick Simpson Oil is now ready to be used! You have to consume 60 grams of RSO for 90 days to see the end result of it. So what are you waiting for? D-I-Y your RSO now and see how it can change your lifestyle!
