How to Rehydrate Weed

You may be very excited and cannot wait any longer for your stash to arrive after ordering it online. However, as soon as you got the weed, you immediately tried it and when things get a little crazy and you start getting high, you may not know where you left it.

In the world where consuming cannabis is fun and exciting, there are things to keep in mind to prevent your next journey from disastrously regretting. In this article, we will be talking about how to rehydrate weed.

If you are a new user, one of the most important things aside from using your newly bought stash is how to keep them in good condition so you will be able to relish its potency and flavor on your next consumption.

There are different reasons why marijuana gets too dry which leads them to be non-usable or extremely disgusting. This may be during the transport, during the curing process of the manufacturer, or with your storing means.

While having a bone-dry weed is very disgusting, it can still be remedied. Lucky you, having it neglected the first can give you a second chance to revive the potency and flavor of your stash making it good for your next use.

In the next section, we will give you an overview of why you need to prevent your weed from getting too dry.

The disadvantages of having too dried weed

While it is exciting to smoke weed, it is much grateful to know that your stash is in good condition. If your weed gets too dry, it will present a lot of disadvantages you may want to prevent. These are the following:

  • Too dry weed can give you a painful feeling at the back of your throat
  • Too dry weed loses its flavor
  • Too dry weed gets less potent

The main reason you smoke weed in the first place is to give you a great feeling. You may want to prevent a painful sensation when you smoke by keeping your weed in a good condition. You also opt for a flavorful weed to indulge its flavor. Having too dry weed can lose its flavor and eventually lead to a disgusting taste which I bet you do not want to happen.

Moreover, the last reason why you wanted to smoke weed is to get high. Very less potent marijuana does not give you fun at all. So, you may want to keep in mind to store your weeds at room temperature and keep them within optimal relative humidity out from sunlight and extremely hot temperatures.

There are a few things that you can do to prevent your weed from getting too dry. You can keep them in an airtight container. Airtight containers are your best option to keep your stash, preserve its water content, and hence, maintain its potency, flavor, and even aroma.

Prevent using a plastic bag or a paper bag as it can just lead to the continuous exchange of water within the surrounding air in the bag that can get them too dry.

But if it’s too late to do this and your stash are already bone-dry, do not lose hope as we have recourse for that in the next section.

Procedure:

Dampen the desired amount of cotton ball for about 70 percent. Wrap the moisten cotton balls using the foil and make some small holes around it as ventilation. Place your buds in an airtight container. Place the wrapped cotton balls on top of the weed and seal the container. Wait for the moisture of the cotton balls to be absorbed by the marijuana in one to two hours.

After the recommended time, check the cotton balls how much dry it is as it will be your indication how much water your stash has absorbed. If your weed still looks very dry, you can repeat this process until you get the desired moisture.

The weed mixture method

This method is perfect for those cannabis users and at the same time growers at their own house.

Things you need:

  • Freshly cured cannabis

This process is pretty easy. All you need to do is mix your freshly cured buds with your dry stash and it will do the magic. After 24 hours, you will see that all the dry buds are moistened fairly with the freshly cured buds.

Having a new and unused sponge is better to prevent any mold proliferation. Cut out the whole sponge in a small piece. Dampen the cut-out sponge for at least 70 percent, not too much moistened.

Place your buds in an airtight container. Place the sponge on top of the weed and seal the container. Wait for the moisture of the sponge to be absorbed by the marijuana in one to two hours.

The humidity pouch method

If you have no time to do the work mentioned above, all you need to do is buy a humidity pouch online. There are a lot of online cannabis stores that offer humidity pouches. You can buy based on your preference and your budget. These pouches are just cheap. But nothing is cheaper than doing the mentioned methods below.
