Bacteria constitute the big domain of the prokaryotic microorganisms. The cell structure of these microorganisms is not as complex as other microorganisms. They lack the nucleus or membrane-bound organelles. They are also single-celled. Their genetic detail exists in their sole DNA chromosome. Bacteria can be classified into 5 groups according to their shapes: rod, spiral, comma, corkscrew, and spherical.
“Bacteria can be good or bad. Good bacteria can be helpful to humans, animals, and even plants.”
“Good bacteria can be our friends. The bad ones are our biggest enemies.”
