Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt)


Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt) is the bacterium that dwells in the soil. It naturally produces the toxin, which is deadly to some herbivorous insects. The toxin created by this bacterium is often used as a killer spray solution for insects that has been a practice since the 1920s. The same toxin serves an important purpose in organic agriculture and farming.
