Agitation is the process of first breaking off, and then harvesting the trichomes found on the cannabis flowers and leaves via direct physical contact. In order to increase the effectiveness of agitation, the cannabis plant material can be frozen prior to the procedure. Apart from making it possible to separate the trichomes from the plant, agitation also helps to preserve terpenes.
“To collect trichomes properly, I highly encourage you to use an agitation method.”
“I always prefer to stick with an agitation method when collecting trichomes, as I don’t want to lose any of the precious terpenes.”
